    White Lotus took a turn this week.

    Truly must me seen to be believed. To everyone who wants to say it’s a deep meditation on aging and the fleeting moments of life and INSISTS upon that point… I get that it’s TRYING TO DO THAT, but it’s just hard when you have a character who’s technically like 5 (At least she was when it starts.) become pregnant for no reason.

    I know Lone Ranger wasn’t stellar, but c’mon. I was just watching this dying for Gore Verbinski and Hans Zimmer magic. Instead we got cgi that made The Scorpion King look pretty damn decent. Like…is anyone trying anymore?

    This film stands next to the original Incredibles in almost every way. Our heroes are humans. (Except for a certain web-swine-er) They hurt, they laugh, they love. The voice acting is phenomenal, the action is exciting, and toxic masculinity gets its ass kicked. Also, such a perfect cameo and tribute to the man who taught us all about power and responsibility. Takes your kids to see this movie, take your partner, take your family, take your friends, take yourself. It’s everything and more.

    I've already groaned on about Alien and Aliens a thousand times but I haven't talked about this puppy, mostly because I totally forget a lot of it. There's a crazy android, face huggers/snakes/whatevers. It's all standard Alien stuff trying to be. A bit more. I honestly wish we saw more from the "engineers" and different kinds of life they bred beyond the Xenomorphs. Prometheus is so preoccupied with being an Alien prequel it forgets to be its own thing which…
