I was quite underwhelmed by this film’s experience, yes the cinematography had a nice style that fit the tone of the story’s dark themes, yes the psychological thriller elements had great substance in the story and yes it was brilliantly acted in by the leads but the story just didn’t quite do it for me. I found myself quite bored most of the time watching Robert Pattinson and Willem Defoe Bicker like an old married couple and the rest of the time I was just confused by the mysterious events taking place not quite understanding what I was experiencing and I just Kind of left the cinema feeling unsatisfied.
