CHECK OUT MY TOP 10 FILMS OF 2017 LIST, AND TOP 15 LEADING ACTRESS PERFORMANCES OF THE DECADE(👍)
Best Picture snub.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARGOT ROBBIE! HONORING YOU WITH YOUR BEST PERFORMANCE!
If the brilliance that is Saoirse Ronan in Lady Bird wasn’t nominated, this is would I would’ve picked to win leading actress. Robbie just gives us an amazing Portrayal of Tonya Harding, and does it with such love, and compassion, but yet still dark, and emotional at the same time. This is without a doubt Robbie’s best performance.
And Allison Janney... What else can I say besides... PER👏FEC👏TION👏. Her performance as LaVona is such an amazing thing to watch on screen. This was my Girlfriends first time watching this film, and she said that Janney, gave one of her favorite performances of all time. And I was very glad to hear that from her.
The other supporting cast does a fantastic job carrying the film. Julianne Nicholson, Paul Walter Hauser, McKenna Grace, Bobby Cannavale all do magnificent jobs with there parts.
And Sebastian Stan just keeps trying to get the academy’s attention, and they just don’t PAY attention. Just look at the stellar work he’s done This decade:
-Captain America/1/2/and 3
-Once Upon a Time(TV Show on ABC)
-The Bronze
-The Martian
-Logan Lucky
-I’m not Here
-Infinity War
&
-Destroyer(which he should’ve gotten a nom for BTW)
All of those films he gave a Phenomenal performance in. There’s no reason he shouldn’t have an Oscar nom by now.
Everything else about this film is beautiful, the production is so realistic, the costumes during the ice Routines are amazing, the Cinematography is easily some of my favorite work I’ve seen, and the acting(AGAIN) is phenomenal. It’s a crime that it didn’t get a Best Pic Nom.
