No Time to Die

No Time to Die ★★★★½

“We have all the time in the world.”

After all the mixed reactions I’ve heard from this, I’m kinda blown away. Genuinely thrilling from start to finish with very much earned emotional payoff. The entire cast is really great but Craig is unreal good in this. This is Bond at his most broken and vulnerable yet he remains a badass.
I don’t even have to mention Fukunaga’s direction because it’s masterful for a blockbuster, complimented by Zimmer’s electrifying score and Sandgren’s fluid visuals.
It’s got problems to pick apart but I thought this was an emotionally effective ride for many, many reasons.
This feels like old Bond, that goofy larger than life scale with cool gadgets and bombastic villains perfectly mixed with the modern more character work-y action, and stakes.
AKA: exactly what I wanted it to be.
