Jacob Farley’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watched the director’s cut. Still an absolute banger of a movie that is improved even more with the additional footage added. There’s much more development of Christian and Dani’s relationship that I loved, as well as more development of the rest of the characters relationships. While I’m not sure if this is my favorite movie I’ve seen this year, it is definitely the best movie I’ve seen. Ari Aster is a tour de force and the transcendent experience of watching this movie has not gotten old even after 3 viewings. The director’s cut is definitely better than the theatrical cut, and even with a new runtime of 2 hours and 50 minutes, I never once felt the runtime and instead was treated to a masterclass in direction and design. I adore this movie.
