I was not expecting All Quiet on the Western Front to be a foreign war movie, but hey at least subtitles are a thing. Stuck between an 8 or a 9 for this one, but damn it, it's a 9 because All Quiet on the Western Front is yet another great captivating war movie. The visuals were my favorite part from this.
Apparently my father read the book based on All Quiet on the Western Front and once again another movie based on something that I have never read. I loved seeing the journey of this one solider and his pal going through the dangers of World War I. It might not be as great as other heartwarming war flicks like Saving Private Ryan, Paths of Glory, or Dunkirk. All Quiet on the Western Front was just something different with the whole foreign setting and it was great, possibly even my introduction to the world of foreign cinema.
