Spider-Man: Far From Home

Spider-Man: Far From Home ★★★★½

This movie blew me away. It really is crazy how consistent Marvel is with these movies. Tom Holland is perfect as Spider-Man. Tobey Maguire was pretty great in this role, but I prefer Tom Holland by a small amount. Despite the fact that Tom Holland was fantastic, Jake Gyllenhaal really steals the show as Mysterio. He plays a legitimately deceiving villain and does it to perfection. Samuel L. Jackson is great, per the usual, as Nick Fury. Jacob Batalon as Ned is hilarious and I love the chemistry he has with Holland. Zendaya is pretty good as well, though I think her performance isn’t the greatest when things first start off. Plus, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan keeps getting better. My only problem with this movie is that some of the humor when they cut away from Spider-Man doesn’t work. Overall, this is a phenomenal follow up from Avengers: Endgame and sets the stage exceptionally for Phase 4.
