Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone ★★★★

It's amazing as to how this film spends one hour establishing Harry's character and Hogwarts as a school, and then uses the remaining hour to create an adventure based on the environment we've been introduced to. Rewatching this film was like watching it again for the first time, and although it's dated in many ways, this film still feels like it'll be just as magical for generations to come.

Knowing where everything goes, it's interesting taking a look back at where everything started out, and when you know where the series is gonna take these fantastic characters and overall world, then it just makes this film so much more entertaining. There's not much I can say about Philosopher's Stone that hasn't already been said, but it's a charming film in almost every way. Solid 8/10
