Jade’s review published on Letterboxd:
Seeking decent scares? Annabelle will do fine. Mostly, credit goes to coincidentally named Annabelle Wallis, whose sympathetic and credible lead performance did what Vera Farmiga did for The Conjuring. But this unnecessary spin-off predictably relies on a trope-ridden horror plot (priest, creepy children's drawings, survivor's guilt - you name it), and it treads ever so safely on a conventional hauntings origin story.
