an absolutely surprising development. The homage to all my favorite 90s/00s movies as well as the visuals and color palette made my heart absolutely explode. If cruel intentions, clueless, 10 things I hate about you, John tucker must die and to all the boys I’ve loved before had a love child this would absolutely be it.

I struggled with giving this 5 stars because I found Camila Mendes’ character completely unredeemable due to her raging narcissism & lack of listening and empathy (could be personal trauma) as well as the framing of Maya Hawke to be a villian of any sorts at any part in time because she can do no wrong. That and the fact that the entire movie is set up from a Snapchat exchange really triggers my teenage angst

PS - how toxic is it that Austin Abrams character is my type & that I have an even bigger crush on him after watching this movie than I did when I watched him in S2 Euphoria?
