Jake Pitre’s review published on Letterboxd:
definitely a case where i admired what this was doing more than i actually enjoyed it. but of course i'm into the Laura Palmer vibes, especially since it taps into the intense and unknowable sadness of that character, this certainty of doom that follows both Laura and Alice. and i'm also into how it plays with different video formats and tech, and the insane American Vandal-style devotion to the docs it is aping. but i did feel pretty distanced from so much of it, and couldn't help but feel slightly underwhelmed in the end. insane that something this thoughtfully directed has led to a nothing career for Joel Anderson, who has seemingly done nothing since this except he's currently a script editor for some netflix miniseries??? yeesh.
