Jake Alda Coffey’s review published on Letterboxd:
ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT makes an explosive splash on screen. Edward Berger deserves a lot of credit. A war movie hasn’t been this visually terrifying since SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. The score is tense, the sound effects make it feel like you’re right there on the front lines. It’s an incredible piece of cinema. I highly recommend seeing this in theaters because it created the best viewing experience. DO NOT underestimate this German film when it comes to this award season. One of the best movies of the year. An exhilarating ride.
