Jake Alda Coffey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Still probably one of my favorite war movies in recent memory. It’s a visceral experience. It’s a movie meant to be experienced on the big screen, so big shame that it was slated as a Netflix release. It’s a haunting portrait of war. Very impactful and one of 2022’s best.
Unrelated fact: With its recent best picture nomination, All Quiet on the Western Front becomes the third remake of a best picture winner to also be nominated for best picture (Mutiny on the Bounty, West Side Story).
