    Documentaries like this are few and far between. Comprehensive and in-depth, you can go beyond the original 4 hr miniseries with an optional 2 hr epilogue episode, plus a sequel film called IF GOD IS WILLING AND DA CREEK DON'T RISE (that also runs 4 hrs, for a grand total of 10 hrs altogether).

    A Ken Burns level of scope... but with an adult rating, cursing, and no narrator because the survivors tell their own stories.

    Holy crap the new 4k blu-ray is a revelation.

    You are guaranteed to notice new details with the added color and clarity.

    I was doubting if "old" movies benefit from a 4k upgrade after being disappointed by the graininess of the 4k LAWRENCE OF ARABIA on Amazon Prime Video... but 2001 has very little grain. It is incredibly crisp for a movie released in 1968.

    This must be the closest thing to seeing a brand new 70mm print from back…
