In the Shadow of the Sun ★★★★

A hazy vision of Earth sinking into hell. Despite the droning, dissonant electronics of the Throbbing Gristle score, I most frequently thought of the cover of Black Sabbath's first album, that unfocused, ominous acid vision of evil on the English countryside. The slow dive into hell, then pure oblivion, is terrifying and beautiful, and Throbbing Gristle prove the ideal Charon.
