this film hit me so much harder the second time, not just emotionally but also in terms of how technically flawless it is. every moment has a purpose, communicates something. timothée chalamet‘s performance is so enchanting. from that scene at the phone booth where elio calls his mother to the final fade to black i cried both because of his performance but also because of how i was affected by the beauty of everything i’d seen. this movie haunts me in the best way possible.
