"This whole world's wild at heart and weird on top"
It has Lynch's DNA and charisma in parts but Wild At Heart is Lynch's attempt at making an acid laced love story similar in vein to Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers with Stone's film hyper violence and Lynch's film focuses on hyper romance. Performances are fantastic, Dern and Cage have great chemistry with the latter nailing such a random yet iconic character in the making. Dafoe with a small role also impresses with such a vile performance. The music and aesthetic is here but feels diluted at times.
