Jakob Mathews’s review published on Letterboxd:
Absolutely, without a doubt, the best war film I’ve ever seen. It’s also an incredibly disturbing, relentlessly upsetting film about a young boy experiencing true horror from his bright eyes. I haven’t been this physically tired and tested in a while. It’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen as well as a film I don’t think I can stomach to watch ever again. Masterful in every sense of the word, but a nightmare to experience.
