“We ask for your patience. Baby Annette is a baby after all.”
Like Holy Motors, the first film from Leos Carax that I saw, this film was very weird. But I can’t say I wasn’t entertained.
Featuring the even weirder, creepier sibling of the baby from Twilight, naked Adam Driver, stand-up comedy, opera, drownings, the Super Bowl Halftime Show and lots and lots of exposition and dialogue as “songs”.
Some of the songs in this film were absolute bangers tho, especially “So May We Start” in the very beginning.
