JakubM’s review published on Letterboxd:
Such a relief that Alejandro Jodorowsky’s touch remains playful throughout this wild, psychedelic trip through spiritualism, quest literature, and ‘60s and ‘70s counter culture. A more earnest and serious effort would have been insufferable, but Jodorowsky finds the perfect balance between all his insane symbolism and the surprisingly humble ideas that drive the narrative. Its shocks and pleasures are relentless. Listing them would be pointless. I’ll just mention that the sequence introducing us to the rest of the alchemist’s acolytes is now among my all-time favourites.
