Discovered this project through the incredible band Chat Pile and was following the production since their involvement was announced.
The film more than exceeded my expectations - a really touching tale that resonated on many levels.
Smart but compelling, with great textured characters, and offered a vivid insight into life in that specific part of the world.
Excited to see what the creative team behind this do next.
Absolutely devastating but sensitively handled depiction of the darkest aspects of humanity. Been putting this one off for a while.
A real shame that Tim Roth to date hasn’t made another film as director, but the biggest injustice here is that the film didn’t make a star out of Lara Belmont who deserved to break through following this performance.
Not for everyone, but for me a real highlight of 90’s British cinema.
