My brother-in-law Dan once told me about a time that he was running down the sidewalk in Manhattan to catch a bus, and some random pedestrian shoved him onto the side of another bus. As Dan was getting up and dusting himself off, he apologized. I asked him why he apologized when he was so clearly the one who'd been wronged, and he said, "Because that guy was clearly having a worse day than I was."
I feel like this explains how Layla could feel affection for someone who kidnaps her out of school and treats her like a dog. It's a good movie. Looks fucking gorgeous, too. Has prog rock ever been this sexy before or since?
Don't start trouble. Don't start evil.
