I prefer reviews that are a discussion, and often don’t really like star rated reviews. I started to add star reviews to some movies on Letterboxd because it can be fun, but I generally don’t like boxing movies into an ABC or star rating review. Film reviews are way more in depth than that. There’s things that go beyond liking or not liking something. Sometimes my mind changes after sitting on a film for a while, having a discussion with someone, reading the book if it’s a film adaptation, or rewatching. With Annette for example, I want to talk to some people soon who’ve seen this weird rock opera musical so we can discuss.
