My first film back at the cinema in five months & one that is still an absolute classic. It’s the bar for this genre that will never be met, despite the many sub par attempts.
Not a dud note, although the last paranoia induced hour still stresses me out completely. Scorsese’s finest.

If I’m honest I was really worried about Thanos from the trailers as he just looked like a big, blue CGI Avatar cast off blob with a cheese grater Batman chin but, I shouldn’t have feared, he was a perfectly plausible baddie in the Killmonger mode of engaging fully with an audience through emotional resonance.
