    Evil Dead II 1987

    Logan Thomson

★★★★ Watched by Logan Thomson 27 Oct 2018

With a budget nearly ten times that of the original, Evil Dead II has a lot more to offer in terms of zany visuals and over-the-top moments of sheer, gory awesomeness. There’s even some neat world building, too, and does what a sequel to a film like The Evil Dead should do, upping the comedy, horror, craziness, and entertainment value. So yeah, great time.

    Sean Baker

Rewatched by Sean Baker 18 May 2018 15

Revisited this film after approx. 30 years on the Arrow Films Blu-ray.

I forgot how giallo influenced this film seems to be. And the split screen sequences are awe-inspiring. Masterful.

Extras and booklet included with the Blu-ray are nice.

    RIP Margot Kidder
