John Ryan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don’t car about this. I don’t care about the characters, I don’t care about the story, I don’t care about Tyler the white kid, this was just bad. M. Night shine man just threw shit on a wall and it made money because it’s m. Night shine man with bloom house. This has the same problem as As Above, So Below in that it feels so incredibly fake. It’s supposed to be filmed on old shitty cameras but it looks like a professional filmed it. It wasn’t scary, the script was bad, the acting wasn’t anything special, and overall I didn’t want to watch this. I’m feeling a decent to strong two on this.
