Jasen Cummings’s review published on Letterboxd:
Okay I saw this movie a week ago I just didn't know what I wanted to write about it.
It was great. It was almost like two movies put together- a comedy and a horror- and both worked so well wound into each other. I laughed but then got creeped out then I laughed some more and then got grossed out and the fact that I could feel so much and have so many reactions from just one movie was really special and truly says something about the complexity of the script, storyline, and actors in the film.
Some people call this movie a horror movie but then others get mad when people call it that and say it's not at all and after seeing it I understand that now. Because it's so many things. It's so different and there are so many aspects of the film that don't fit into the usual cookie-cutter mold of what movies are and what genres are marked by.
This film was a rollercoaster and in a good way. That's the best way I know how to describe it, I guess. But it's a rollercoaster that I'd happily ride again.
