Jason the Feature Creature’s review published on Letterboxd:
Pure, brutal fucking magic. Luca manages to upstage Dario with a compellingly vaginal masterpiece of modern horror. Something was enchanting, drawing me back to this. Suspiria is easily one of the greatest films I have ever seen and it is even better upon rewatch. Each performance humbling, each act wondrous, a mysterious force of nature that digs itself deep into your flesh and burrows itself deeper into your mind.
Guadagnino pulls you inside of his film, letting you live inside it’s world, taking hold of you and then giving birth to an experience like no other, at least not like any film I’ve seen before. Every second plays an important note of the haunting tune it unravels before you. Tilda Swinton is a holy abomination cast down upon the earth to deliver the greatest performances of the century. I would go and see this again if tomorrow weren’t the last day it’s at my local theater. Everything about this movie is perfect.
I will say, some of the CGI at the end doesn’t play as well as it could. I’ll say again though, everything about this movie is perfect.
