Not my favorite Hitchcock, but Jimmy Stewart is king.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2021
Not my thing, but Awkwafina kills it. Do I really have to watch Eternals now?

The Beach Boys: Endless Harmony 1998
The DVD case this came in says it’s 141 minutes but the disc is actually 104 minutes. Weird.
A very condensed history on my boyz. Brian’s creative abilities post-Pet Sounds are glossed over and talked down upon, as per usual. Brian wrote some of his greatest music after Pet Sounds and for another 5 years after that, with varying levels of input of course.
I’m nonviolent but if Bruce Johnston talks smack on my boy Brian one more time… 💥 🥊

The Killing 1956
A real solid third act. I honestly found the build up to be dull. There’s a whole lot of exposition and needless narration. That third act slaps hard though.

True Romance 1993
Fun, corny script from Tarantino. What a stacked, stacked cast. Patricia Arquette is qween.

Carlito's Way 1993
I didn’t realize Al Pacino was Puerto Rican. I thought he was Cuban?
Brian De Palma is my boi, but this ain’t it (for me.)

The Whole Nine Yards 2000
Not great but still more my thing than Kingsman or those other cool guy crime movies.

Day for Night 1973
Free flowing, fast-paced love affairs intersect on the Mediterranean throughout the production of a French melodrama. It’s a fun movie that paints a loving and sincere picture of the film industry. I didn’t love the characterization as much as I usually do in other François Truffaut flicks, but this is it’s own thing and I certainly enjoyed it.

Brian Wilson: I Just Wasn't Made for These Times 1995
A sweet doc on Brian from the 90s. I can’t help but wonder if Brian was told to say a lot of what he says, and I wonder how comfortable he was during the interview process. Brian is the sweetest soul and all I want is for him to be happy ❤️
A series of interviews based around recording sessions for a companion album of Brian performing his old tunes.
