Imagine Paul Verhoeven, David Cronenberg, and John Carpenter making a movie together. Yeah, it's that good. It's a movie heavily dependant on influences (ROBOCOP, VIDEODROME, 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY, and AKIRA most prominently) but that also manages to create something new and often surprising.
Imaginative, stirring, gruesome, visually striking, fast-paced...awesome. One of my favorite films of 2018 for sure.
