Buddy action comedy starring Key and Peele as a couple of friends who get caught up in a drug deal in an effort to get an adorable kitten named Keanu back. Not as consistently entertaining as it could have been, but the stars have chemistry together and it has its funny moments and the action is well choreographed. I kind of want the Keanu movie calendar.
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World 2003
Early 1800s sea life on board a British warship during the Napoleonic Wars is the setting for this fine film from director Peter Weir. Russell Crowe plays the ship’s captain wonderfully. More of a depiction of time and place than it is an action packed war movie.
The Trial of the Chicago 7 2020
Aaron Sorkin has long been a favorite screenwriter of mine. His dialogue is smart and witty. He’s proving himself a fine director as well. The 130 minute run time flies by in a blink. The cast is fantastic, particularly Redmayne and Cohen.
