The Harbinger

The Harbinger ★★★★

Wow. This is a tough one to write about. Is it scary? Yes, but in different ways. It has some scares that you would expect from a horror movie, especially during the nightmare sequences, but what really got to me after the fact, upon thinking about it for a bit, was the fear of anonymity and of being forgotten after we die, especially during a pandemic (the film is set smack dab in the early days of Covid) when so many people were dying every day. The Harbinger is a dark, depressing, heavy, and scary film in more ways than one. Another strong outing from Andy Mitton. 8/10
