    Can't say I've got a great idea of what "Mévoungou" or a "Bloodette" is after seeing this film, really, but it's not exactly for me, is it? Heck, even the basic story, about two girls with a body on their hands and that's their best hope of changing their lives, doesn't make a lot of sense, like the filmmaker was doing some hardcore improvisation as he came up with new satiric ideas but absolutely could not waste film.

    This is very clearly the sort of script full of ambiguity and chewy dialogue that actors and critics quite reasonably fall in love with, but which also gets a little too caught up in those things.     Movies like The Booksellers don't exactly backfire when, halfway through, certain viewers find that this film meant to celebrate a rare and vanishing breed of person is instead providing examples of just how that breed rubs them the wrong way.
