Illumination: Letterboxd’s least favourite animation studio since a certain Youtuber posted his thoughts of the company. I haven’t actually seen much from the company to have a pre-existing opinion, aside from the Despicable Me franchise (which I find quite endearing) and The Grinch (last Christmas, which I won’t be re-watching).

With that link, and coinciding with the Christmas week release of Sing 2, I thought after finishing my exams this December would be a great time to check off another filmography. Although Illumination is known for their commercialization and maybe not their awards prowess, I’m willing to give them an honest try.
