Never expected to cry and relate as much as I did while watching.
My expectations for this film was on no scale I’ve seen that it has been talked about a great amount of times on social media but never bothered to watch until I found out Timothée Chalamet was apart of this project.
Let’s just say that I stayed watched for Timothée and stayed for Lady Bird.
I was 19 when I first watched this movie still a teenager and was freshly still dealing with mother daughter issues and watching Lady Bird showed a mother daughter relationship in complete turmoil (cue the waterworks) I would just find myself tearing up during scenes of Christine and her mother arguing and it brought me to a suppressed part of brain and had me comparing to similar I was to Christine and her family relationship.
I am so greatful for this movie and wish I could rewatch it for the first time again. A film that will definitely bring tears to your eyes especially if you find yourself relating to Lady Bird.
