My Blueberry Nights ★★★½

"How do you say goodbye to someone you can't imagine living without?"- Elizabeth

My Blueberry Nights is the first English film from director Wong Kar-Wai. Many people have called it the American Chungking Express. That comparison isn't too far off as it does feel structurally similar. That being said I enjoyed this film quite a bit. The performances are all good, but I especially liked Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman. They were terrific. As is expected from a Wong Kar-Wai film, My Blueberry Nights is wonderfully shot and features excellent music choices. I definitely feel this one deserves more credit than it gets. 7.5/10
