This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

Considering the fact that this is a part one movie and doesn't have an ending it's difficult to rate Across The Spider-Verse. However, this is an extremely fun film with interesting ideas. The animation remains stunning and the action is consistently a joy to watch. The characters are still very strong; I loved the increased focus on Gwen Stacy and the new additions are a lot of fun as well. A lot of the comedy worked very well for me…

    Inception

    ★★★★½

Inception takes an excellent concept (dreams within dreams) and runs with it producing a thrilling action movie that uses its premise to its fullest potential. It's obvious to see how much of a cultural touchstone this movie became so it's interesting viewing it for the first time now. This is one of the best theater experiences I've had in a while. The action was spectacular as always and the runtime added to the feeling of an epic sprawling adventure that was a ton of fun to live with. The new assassin characters were fantastic and the villain was great. With each movie, the world keeps getting more and more ridiculous and comic-booky and I love them for it.

    The Grand Budapest Hotel

The Grand Budapest Hotel is a classy little story featuring some excellent performances. Ralph Fienness and Toni Revolori kill it as Mister Gustave and Zero respectively and the interactions between them are the best parts of the film. Wes Anderson's unique directorial style fits the tone of the movie like a glove; I love how stylish everything is. Some parts of the story were confusing to me and I left the film with several questions though a rewatch would perhaps solve this.
