All About Nina ★★★★

It's more than just All About Nina, but it's about her social life, her romantic life, her stand up career, just her life in general.

Despite it not providing too many jokes outside than the standup sprinkled in between (since this is more of a drama than a dramedy), and some scenes feel slow and filler to reach the 100-minute mark (fucking The Deep from The Boys over here comes in to ruin Nina's relationship with Rafe), it's saved by the intelligent script/direction, a raw authentic environment that holds nothing back, nice cinematography, and phenomenal performances from Elizabeth Winstead and Common.

Don't expect a laugh out loud rom-com, but do expect a raw dramedy with a charming lead who should already be in the entertainment stratosphere at this point.
