Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone ★★★½

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”

Everybody dwelling on the planet, even those living under a sorcerer‘s stone, knows the tale Of Harry Potter and the you-know-what stone. So I won’t waste my time there. Instead, I will profess my great admiration for the character of Rubious Hagrid!
Also, being a writer, I love the world of Harry Potter and all of the sparkling details down to the tiniest of minutia that J. K. Rowling concocted. That the wands choose the wizard, The invisibility cloak, names like Albus Dumbledore, Mr. Filch and his gorgeous Maine coon and professor Snape! I love it that professor McGonagall can transfix into a cat and I very much desire one of those contraptions that Dumbledore has at the beginning of the film that burgles light and then houses it for other uses down the road. I dig the snake scene at the launch of the movie And how he thanks Harry for freeing him. I also love the fact that Harry lives, when he is with Muggles, under the stairs.
These bits of brilliance and more is why I like Harry Potter.
This is not a perfect and spectacular film but they will soon become thus, in my opinion, starting with Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban which is also the best film in the series.
