  Kind of expected a mindless, idiotic comedy with these two leads at the helm, but this was actually quite surprising. The plot is as straightforward as it gets, but the whole thing plays out more like a suspenseful drama than a macho buddy comedy. Somehow it works.

  Incredible. I didn’t think it could get more faithful and spectacular than David Lynch’s 1984 version, but this is truly amazing. Impeccably casted, gorgeously shot and manages to make some of the cornier sci-fi nerd aspects of the novel less so.
