    Ludicrous and funny - like going on a 5 hour adventure with that annoying friend who nonetheless never fails to entertain you. Joe Dante became known for sending up or lambasting American values in many of his movies, Gremlins/2 being the most obvious examples. But really, that exists in most, if not all, of them.     This is probably the film I've seen in the most interesting circumstances. The two that stick out are tonight and one time several years ago. The one several years ago was played at a music venue, muted - with subtitles, and scored live by a band that hit almost every note perfectly.
