Ludicrous and funny - like going on a 5 hour adventure with that annoying friend who nonetheless never fails to entertain you. Joe Dante became known for sending up or lambasting American values in many of his movies, Gremlins/2 being the most obvious examples. But really, that exists in most, if not all, of them.
