Jeff Lehman’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Scream movies are the greatest written of all horror films, and you cannot @ me. God bless the overly verbose, and Williamson is like Sorkin via Gilmore Girls. It's like playing Chubby Bunny with arch meta-quips.
It dissects armchair critics, breaks it's own story to pieces, and while the ending is a little slower, it makes up for it with performances. Olyphant! Gellar! Metcalf! Schreiber revising his role from Spotlight!
The opening theater scene draws eerie parallels to Rick & Morty Sauce Gate.
