Jennifer’s review published on Letterboxd:
What a rich, revealing, and intelligent film comprised of a thousand brilliant details. The script manages to both be incredibly complex and rather simple in its execution and scope. Juliette Binoche and William Shimell give terrific contradictory yet complementary performances that move deftly between a light, almost comedic and serious, more dramatic tone. I never quite knew what traces of their conversations and relationship was real versus what was a fabrication, but you know what? It didn't matter.
