There's a level of brilliance to this film that is difficult for me to fully comprehend or even discuss. It's the kind of movie that makes me want to read a bunch of film scholar articles and analysis on it to understand and appreciate it better. It serves as a reminder that cinema is more than just storytelling, it's a unique art form. The gorgeous black and white cinematography, riveting performances, disruptive editing, rich themes, and absolutely incredible dialogue come together to create one of the most beautiful, thought provoking, and haunting films I've ever seen.
