Here is the most fascinating film of the year. I wanna see it again, right now. How do you even talk about a movie like this after only seeing it once?
This is the future of cinema, I hope. A puzzling, thematically dense visual kaleidoscope with grand ambitions and lots to say. Exuberant, audacious, and mesmerizing. Constantly reinventing itself; the type of film that makes you think differently about cinema. Every scene is dazzling, every performance electrifying. I love that there is nothing I can compare this to.
I love love love Natalie Portman, but I just learned that Rooney Mara was originally planned to play her role and I will never get that out of my mind. My sweet, little, shy Rooney Mara, as an emotionally unstable pop diva? Umm I would like to SEE IT!!!
I was pretty confused that I'd seen Eleanor (Stacy Martin) in a porno or something, but then I remembered she was the protagonist of Nymphomaniac.
