Mamma Mia Here We Go Again is the last film I would expect myself to like, prior to seeing it I was really hoping it wasn’t anything like the first film. I found the first film to be corny and very obnoxious, and the songs I just did not like at all. However this movie really surprised me, the first thing I really appreciate about this movie is that it looks like the cast had a blast with this movie. Everyone in this movie brings life into their roles, Especially Lily James and Amanda Seyfried they both really gave it all and it really shows. The filming was absolutely well done, especially when you combine that with the setting it’s really colorful and there’s always something going on it’s wonderful to look at! Another thing I’m shocked this movie did really well at was being a prequel and a sequel, a lot of movies that I’ve seen that have tried to do the same thing end up falling flat on their face (I’m looking at you 300 Rise Of An Empire), but this movie does it really well. The transitions from the past to the present and vice versa are organized and are very clear, this movie also has it’s fair share of heartwarming moments that I really felt. Lastly what I absolutely loved the most about this movie was the music, the songs were really well sung and the song segments were some of the best in the film. The music ranges from being happy to set and really fits the mood of the film, overall Mamma Mia Here We Go Again is one of the biggest surprises of the year. If someone came up to me at the beginning of the year and told me “you are going to love Mamma Mia Here We Go Again” I most certainly would not believe them, but here we are now. I highly recommend to give this movie a watch!
