I accidently bought this movie on DVD online, when I wanted to buy the 1974 original 🤦♀️, now I ended up having seen both films. Just a couple of days ago I saw the original. Though it wasn't very gory, I really liked it cos of the dark atmosphere and also the creature SFX (which were of course handmade in 1974) were nice, story and actors were ok, the bad thing about it was the birth scene of the baby…
So that's it, the "love of my life" movie. Watched for the 12th time today and it still makes my jaw drop. What a wonderful descent into absolute madness.
"Martyrs" is beautiful and terrifying to the core at the same time. The way it's done is beautiful and amazing. It's shot perfectly and absolutely flawless from the first to the last second.
