    The Greatest Night in Pop

A fun watch - it is weirdly relatable to anyone who had to work on a large school project.

  • Yentl

Great film! Fits both a woman narrative and queer Β narrative pretty simultaneously *if you squint*

  • The Lady from Shanghai

Never has there been such choppy editing. If this film had room the breathe then I may see the greatness that others seem to.

  • Force of Nature: The Dry 2

Force of Nature: The Dry 2

    β˜…β˜…β˜…Β½

Filmmaking wise, it is pretty choppy. But mystery wise, I was hooked!

Bana and Torv were great (as always).

  • A Star Is Born

    A Star Is Born

Worth every minute. A beautiful performance from Garland with an impressive cast surrounding her.

  • Something Borrowed

I think people shit on these characters a bit too much. I think it is okay to show some messy relationships as each one was given weight, time, and analysis throughout the film. None of these characters are perfect (yes, even your precious Krasinski), and the film acknowledges this in excruciating detail.

Ultimately this film represents messy people, which is what is refreshing.

A beautiful testimony of a solo, simple life; filled with loneliness, joy, embrace, complexity.

Every time I hope that Fallen is slightly better in this role; every time I’m mildly disappointed. But the premise makes this movie work so fabulously well.

This may as well be perfection.

  • The Holdovers

    The Holdovers

One of the best films in a long while.

    Love every second.

  • The Inspection

    The Inspection

    β˜…β˜…β˜…Β½

Had no idea this film existed.

It is a powerful film that explores the complexities of love and brotherhood conflicting with homophobia, xenophobia, and racism. It is also horrifying what the military are able to get away with when β€˜training’ their recruits.

Pope and Union bring nuance to the central relationship of the piece - I was annoyed that the film ended as I want to see more of these two.

So happy I went a second time. It really connected for me.
