What can be said about Jodorowski's masterpiece that hasn't already been said? It's just an amazing experience and though I have no idea what most of it means, it doesn't take away the sheer joy in watching such stunning and original images. I watched in HD this time which further enhances the experience. Birds from gunshot wounds, giant mechanical vaginas, anus washing, holy guns, just about every animal you can imagine, its all here in front of the screen. It's a film that you'll never see the like of again and for the budget it had, it's amazing it was even done. I guess a dollar goes a little further in Mexico. I did find it a little long on this viewing, but it's still an amazing piece of work.
