watched it for the second time in theatres. the audience was shit but the movie was just as good, or even better. the first time i watched it i noticed myself only paying attention to timmy, because his presence was so alarming that i couldn't take my eyes off of him. what was great about this time is i was able to focus on so many other things like armie's incredibly calculated portrayal of oliver, the beauty that is their relationship evolving, and how incredible james ivory's words are. i was again left heartbroken at the end but in a new way, because this time around i was in love with the film and elio and oliver's relationship in a new and different way. honestly makes me excited to keep on watching it, cause i feel i'm going to keep on finding new reasons to love it.

p.s. post-peach scene goes down as my favourite scene of the movie. i love how in just a few minutes it captures the essence of how elio and oliver feel about each other and how their relationship works. also timmy is just fucking unbelievable. UGHHHHHHHH. ok yeah i'm done.
